About Us

Learn about our mission to help performers across Virginia!

What's this website all about?

This website is all about finding great music experiences in Virginia. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a vastly growing network of performers itching to make their music heard. We want to give these creators a voice and help connect them to music lovers across Virginia. To accomplish this, we created a directory for Virginia-based music artists and events.

We’re currently accepting submissions for musicians based in Virginia. If you are interested, please fill out one of our forms!

Presented by the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival

The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival (SVMF) is a not‐for‐profit performing arts presenter that has been bringing great music to the Valley since 1963. We receive funding through Shenandoah County Tourism, The Town of Mount Jackson, sponsorships, private foundation grants, contributions from businesses and individuals, and grants from the Virginia Tourism Corporation, Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Each summer, SVMF presents eight to ten outdoor concerts at Shrine Mont, a beautiful, historic retreat and conference center, situated at the foot of Great North Mountain in Orkney Springs, Va. The surroundings provide a stunning backdrop for our concerts, and its modest size allows for clear and close-up views of the stage from both the pavilion and lawn seating areas.

As a nonprofit concert presenter, SVMF does not take fees for any listings on this website. Our costs are covered by income from our summer concert series, grant funding, and donations. Please consider donating to SVMF to help us keep this website up and running.
