Dr. Steffi Tetzloff

Classical, Contemporary

Dr. Steffi Tetzloff is a trumpet performer, educator, and arranger dedicated to inclusive music teaching and expanding the brass repertoire. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from James Madison University, where she studied with Dr. Chris Carrillo. She also holds degrees from The Hartt School and Oklahoma State University and has studied extensively with Ashley Hall, Dr. Marty Hodel, Dr. Ryan Gardner, and Phil Snedecor.
Passionate about teaching, Steffi maintains a private studio of trumpet students of all ages. Her doctoral research focused on strategies for adapting private trumpet lessons for students with ADHD, which she presented at the 2025 International Trumpet Guild Research Room and International Women’s Brass Conference. She is now expanding that research to support all neurodivergent learners, as well as collaborating with Dr. Judith Ofcarcik on research about anxiety and neurodiversity in the music theory classroom.

Steffi regularly performs with the Oratorio Society of Virginia, Virginia Consort, Massanutten Brass Band, and Waynesboro Symphony. While at James Madison University, she won first place in the 2024 North American Brass Band Association Championship Section with the JMU Brass Band. As a member of the Oklahoma State trumpet ensemble, she also won first place in the 2018 National Trumpet Competition Large Ensemble Division. A proponent of new brass music, her arrangements have been performed at the National Trumpet Competition and selected in the Diversify the Stand/Trumpeter’s Multitrack Competition call for scores. She also commissioned and premiered a flugelhorn solo at the 2025 International Women’s Brass Conference.

Nia Martin

Nia Martin is a 15 year old independent singer from Rustburg, VA. She has been singing since she could talk and her dream is for the world to hear her voice and know the word of God. She has auditioned for America’s Got Talent, The Voice, and American Idol, and is still trying! Go give this rival-to-radio a listen!

Scythian

Ukranian-Appalachian, Americana

Named after Ukrainian nomads, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays roots music from Celtic, Eastern European and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy, technical prowess, and storytelling songwriting, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance, rock concert experience. Nashville’s Music City Roots says Scythian is ‘what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling’, and the Washington Post claims “Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing, jumping around or hoisting glasses.”

Dave Nemetz

Roots Rock, Americana

Dave Nemetz is a seasoned solo acoustic guitarist renowned for his soulful renditions of roots rock classics spanning from the 1960s to contemporary hits. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty, Dave infuses his performances with a timeless charm that resonates with listeners of all ages.

Joshua Luongo

Joshua Luongo is a Virginia Based Folk/Americana songwriter and performer. Joshua’s music combines hopeful, upbeat melodies with contemplative and thoughtful lyrics. Joshua and his band have been building momentum throughout central Virginia with intimate live performances and a growing repertoire of original songs.
